• The old Sinclair Refinery, near Wellsville, NY, which was destroyed in a fire.

Problem:

• The VOC BETC levels were so high as to make carbon operating costs extremely prohibitive.

Solution:

• Using two catalytic oxidizers on the site to extract both the vapors from the ground water and from the vapor phase. The VOCs were oxidized to a 99% destruction.

Equipment:

• Two(2) Catalytic Oxidizers
• Two(2) Knock Out Pots
• Two(2) Vapor Extraction Modules

Performance:

• Low Maintenance
• 99% destruction of VOC's
• 70% recovery of heat for reuse
