Coalescer

• Extends the cleaner life in the production line
• Baths last close to twelve times as long

Ultrafilter:

• Removes emulsified oils
• Extends cleaner life from the 90 days provided by the coalescer to over a year

Production
Modifications:

• Modified production to use only four cleaners, allowing for easier recycling
• Pumped overflow rinse tank when the cleaner stopped working
• Installed recycling system in a separate area to make it invisible to production
• Educated production employees about the benefits of recycling
• Recycling is maintained by the existing waste treatment personnel

Results:

• No increase in loading to the existing waste treatment
• Savings in recycling alkaline cleaner
• Minimized disposal to a third party
